I started the project with 3 main strengths which were great at keeping in time which helped me figure out if any of my tracks were out of time. The second strength was making my melodies melodic and interesting which I learnt from doing project 1 and 2 which Is great because it attracts and engages the listener and makes them more interested in the track and the third strength was listening to the volume if the channel strips were too loud or too quite which improves the sound because it spaces out the song and makes the sounds more even. The mains areas I need to improve on are figuring what next, I should put on the track to make it sound more professional and complete also I need to improve on making more interesting synths sounds
Because they sound really basic and not very interesting. The last thing I need to improve is focus on the deadline on the write up because I had to rush the ending on the write up because I thought It was due later so I need work on keeping track on the date to help me understand when the work is due.
I had a couple problem on logic pro X I couldn’t revers my symbol sound so I researched how to do it on YouTube and the video showed me I had to click on audio track then click on file and go on functions then revers also I couldn't figure out how glide my bass so i watched a youtube video on it and got it straight away.
In project 2 I properly learnt how to make sound on the ES2 synthesizer which I applied my new skills on project 3 to make a drum and bass track. I used the ES2 to make a bass sound and a two synthesizer sounds. I also used EXS24 to make a wobble bass sound which is common in Drum and bass so I needed to make on. Because of project 2 I could make my own sounds and now just need to make them more interesting and advanced.
I used project 3 to learn about a new genre a of music which was drum and bass which was a lot more difficult to make on logic due to I had to self teach myself because of the lockdown situation, I taught my self through youtube and also listen to Drum and bass for inspiration. It was difficult because I didn’t Have the teach right next to me telling me how to improve so I had to make do with an online lesson then the teacher would share there screen or I would which wasn’t ideal because it was all in bad quality and we were moving to quick for the call which would often just make the screen freeze.
